This is a culmination of many upgrade-esk suggestions I've helped with, made, and worked on (maybe even some new ones). Some suggestions were based off of another user's post and they will be credited inside of that spoiler so be sure to check out their thread.
Potions -
We'll start out with potions, potions are important to every SkyBlock player as they give important stat boosting effects that can change your gameplay drastically, but when potions that are so good, cheap, and lasting came about, brewing became obsolete. The Concoctions system aims to change that.
Concoctions would be a new step to brewing and would give both enchanting and alchemy exp from different parts of the process. Concoctions would be a system in which a player can collect a wide range of ingredients to brew special potions named concoctions that would give different boosts. Concoctions would be unlocked at Alchemy XX and would act as more usable exp. The way you would brew these is you would craft a cauldron (custom crafting bench sort of like the experimentation table) and open it, there you can throw in as many ingredients as you want allowing you to discover new potions to use. The cauldron would come equipped with basic ingredient combinations and you can discover new combinations by trying to brew everything possible.
Concoctions do not come bottled, all concoctions are held in the Cauldron on a player's island and each brew fills up the cauldron with a random amount of liquid that could range anywhere from 50mL to 200mL. Cauldrons can only hold one liquid up to 10000mL.
Concoction Containers-
Sports Flasks would be upgradable items that hold Concoctions. Each Sports Flask can be filled up at a Cauldron by opening up the Cauldron UI and choosing an amount to put in the bottle. Different Sports Flasks have different effects and storages, but a Sports Flask can only hold one type of Concoction at once so, you'll need multiple. Sports Flasks can also hold any potion but, their special buffs do not apply to them, and normal potions always hold 100mL.
This bottle can store up to 500mL

Concoctions -
Concoctions are brewed from a ton of ingredients in SkyBlock that can be made into combinations to give more effects. To gain an effect you have to brew 5 of an item and a Concoction can be brewed with up to 50 items. You can only have one Concoction active at a time, here are some examples:
All concoctions last (p × 10) minutes, see Cauldrons for more info on potency.
Potency of Concoction = p
Item | Effect Name | Effect |
---|---|---|
Magma Chunk | Magmatic | Melee hits have a (p × 10)% chance to light an enemy on fire with the effect Magmatic Fire. Mobs with Magmatic Fire take 5x knockback and 1.2x Damage. |
Blaze Ashes | Blazing | Arrow shots have a (p × 10)% chance to shoots a fireball dealing 150% of your arrow damage. |
Spectre Dust | Ghostly | Gives a (p × 5)% chance for mobs to miss you. |
Wither Soul | Soulless | This Concoction's effects have a (p × 5)% chance to not be deleted upon death. |
Burning Eye | Combustion | Explosions have a (p × 15)% chance to light damaged enemies on True Fire, dealing (p × .02)% of their health as damage per second. |
Digested Mushroom | Acidic | Hitting a mob has a (p × 10)% chance to give them Fatal Poison, an effect that will deal (p × .03)% of their health as damage per second. |
Enchanted Mycelium | Fungal | Increases the infection range of Gauntlet of Contagion by (p × 15)%. |
Enchanted Red Sand | Grimmy | All mobs in a (p × 2) block range get slowed down by 20%. |
Null Ovoid | Quantum | Increases range of teleportation abilities by (p × 5)%. |
Enchanted Endstone | Magical | Decreases Mana cost of abilities by (p × 2)%. |
Crystal Frag | Crystalline | You take 20% more damage, but you deal (p × 10)% more damage. |
Superior Dragon Fragment | Superior | Most of your stats are increased by (p × 0.5)%. |
Unstable Dragon Fragment | Unstable | Hits sometimes strike nearby enemies with lighting dealing (p × 2.5)% of their max health. |
Young Dragon Fragment | Young | Increase speed and speed cap by (p × 3)% |
Protector Dragon Fragment | Protector | Increase your defense by (p × 0.02)% for every 10% of missing health. |
Old Dragon Fragment | Old | Increases the effectiveness of armor enchants by (p × 1)%. |
Strong Dragon Fragment | Strong | Increases damage of melee items by (p × 1)%. |
Wise Dragon Fragment | Wise | All abilities have their Mana cost decreased by (p × 3.3)%. |
Holy Dragon Fragment | Holy | Healing increased by (p × 10)%. |
Inactive Revive Stone | Mortal | If you are below (p × 10)% Health, your Speed is multiplied by 1.25x. |
Premium Flesh | Rotten | Undead mobs have a (p × 3)% to not become aggressive towards you. |

Any Flawed Gemstone | Flavored [Gemstone Type] | [Respective Stat of Gemstone] increased by (p × 1.5)%. |
Any Fine Gemstone | Flavorful [Gemstone Type] | [Respective Stat of Gemstone] increased by (p × 2)%. |
Any Flawless Gemstone | Powerful [Gemstone Type] | [Respective Stat of Gemstone] increased by (p × 2.5)%. |
Any Perfect Gemstone | Potent [Gemstone Type] | [Respective Stat of Gemstone] increased by (p × 3)%. |

[Respective Stat of Gemstone] increased by (p ×
Combos have a potency that depends on the potency of their ingredients, so for a Concoction to be a potency of two it has to have all it's Concoctions at two. All Concoctions that are a part of a combo do not lose their effects.
Potency of Concoction = p

Cauldrons -
Cauldrons would be a new workstation akin to the Experimentation Table, but unlike it's enchanting themed brother, it can be placed up to 15 times around the island and it stores data almost like a chest. The Cauldron would be able to hold up to 10000mL of any Concoction, but only one type per meaning you'd need multiple to start a brewing empire. Cauldrons have a UI that you put items into to brew any type of potion, you can only put 5 of an item in each slot and there are only 10 slots (you can see brewing related stuff in Concoctions).
Once a Concoction is brewed you can only place that same type and number of ingredients in until the Cauldron is empty (to empty a Cauldron see Concoction Containers). When brewed, Concoctions can fill up the Cauldron with anywhere from 50-200mL of liquid and every 10 Alchemy levels you obtain after 20, the cap is increased by 100mL. One last thing, Cauldrons can only be used if you have both Alchemy 20 and if the Cauldron has some form of rare Blaze drop from the Crimson Isles as fuel, whether it be mutated or normal Blaze Ashes.
Unorganized Additions -
- Revive Stones now can be taken out of dungeons as Inactive Revive Stones that are both Soulbound and can stack!
- Alchemy 60!
- God Potions can be added into a Concoction and only count as 10% of the max ingredients.
Armor -
Armor is a thing in this game that, although the admins have been paying more attention to it, it is still getting left in the dust. I aim to change this by making armor upgrades that can turn all, or certain, armors into new and improved versions of themselves, along with some new armor.
Sets -

Upgrades -
With the extreme heat, pressure and speed applied to this armor, it becomes extremely volatile leading to a high requirement both for the player's skill and gear.
Recipe -
All of these grids can be found at a crafting altar in the currently hidden area of the End Island, this table requires Combat 30 to use. (on the recipes, this symbol, "[X]" just means that in game it would not be an open slot)

This armor set would have a black leather chestplate, black leather leggings, a radioactive/nuclear green boots, and then a reskin of the Superior Dragon Helmet using those two colors as the base.
Modifiers -
The item known as the Inferno Warden's Blood would be an item used to upgrade armor, similar to how the Wood Singularity only works on wooden swords, this only works on armor sets that are from outside of Dungeons or The Catacombs specifically.

Weapons -
Although melee weapons and magic weapons get lots of love, we don't see much focus on our beloved bows, even though we have the Juju Shortbow and Terminator, we don't have anything to fill that progression gap between the beginning and Juju, or Juju to Terminator.
This weapon would act as an Archer weapon and a general utility for higher Catacombs levels.

Assorted Changes/Additions -
Some assorted modifications to gameplay
The way True Mana Pool works is that, when it is activated, it will turn the normal Mana Pool from an instant usage of your Mana after you use an ability to a slow drain from your pool. This allows you to use more Mana than is on your total pool, but the function of the normal Mana Pool is transferred to the True Mana Pool which, because you can use more than you have in the normal pool, can go into the negatives. Your True Mana Pool is where regenerating Mana shows and once you have regenerated back the True Mana up to where the other Mana Pool is at, the other pool will stop going down. If your normal Mana Pool hits zero though, it will begin to consume certain stats in exchange for Mana. First, it will begin subtracting Overflow Mana at an exact 1-1 conversion, next it will begin on subtracting total EHP at a rate of 2 EHP for 1 Mana, during this time, all healing items will switch their mana and health cost around in case you really need Mana (Health Regen, Vitality and Mending will also count towards Mana during this time ; this EHP will at the same rate it was drained once your True Mana hits 0).
- EXAMPLES
- Your True Mana hits -100 while your Mana Pool is still at 100, if you stop using Mana now, both will hit 0 in sync.
- Your True Mana hits -100 while your Mana Pool is still at 150, if you stop using Mana now, your True Mana will it 25 in sync with your Mana Pool and it will stop lowering.
- Your True Mana hits -100 while your Mana Pool is still at 50, if you stop using Mana now, your True Mana will get to -50 when your Mana Pool hits 0 so, until you can get your True Mana up to 0 you will lose stats in accordance with what you have.
Drops -
The Infernal Potato Book is just a fuming potato book with 50% more bonuses, a .2% drop chance, and drops as an RNGesus from the T4+ Blaze Slayer (you can apply one more every tier upgrade you have, None = 1, Infernal = 5). This item requires Blaze Slayer 8.
These can be dropped from T3+ blaze slayer with the same drop chance as the minion.
Perks -
- At Blaze Slayer 9 you receive a 10-bit discount for Inferno Fuel Blocks.
- At Blaze Slayer 9 you take 10% less damage from any type of damage while in the Kuudra bossfight.
- Blaze Slayer 9 Achievement: Blaze Conqueror.
